Things are about to get a little weird around here.

For years, Our Front Porch has done disaster stabilization the polite nonprofit way: explain the work, share the impact, thank our partners and keep grinding.

We’re still doing all of that. But this fall, we’re also telling you the part we usually keep behind the curtain.

We are scrappy. We are stretched. We do not have fancy offices, giant salaries or a huge staff. What we do have is a tiny team that refuses to leave disaster survivors alone after the immediate crisis is over.

And right now, keeping that team working is urgent.

So welcome to our 2026 Season of Giving: no frills, no safety net, no giving up. You’re going to see the real offices, the real workload, the real people and the real stakes.
