How Our Front Porch does Disaster Recovery
Our Front Porch is the first national organization to provide the Stabilization Phase of Disaster Recovery.
We partner with Red Cross, who provides immediate crisis support, and then passes clients on to Our Front Porch for continued, ongoing support.
This survivor-centered model bridges the gap between crisis response and long-term recovery, offering a flexible, empowering framework that supports individuals and communities through both single-incident disasters and large-scale catastrophes.
The Stabilization Support Model
We equip survivors with a strategic recovery roadmap, delivering specialized toolkits exactly when they are needed most to navigate the complexities of recovery. Beyond resources, our Disaster Stabilization Helpline provides immediate access to expert specialists, while our virtual community circles offer a vital space for shared healing and collective resilience.
